A: They all love the Cornish language!
Not many people know that Cornish is a language. It’s a bit like Welsh, Irish or Scots Gaelic and around 300 – 500 people can speak it.
We’re very proud of our Cornish heritage and so, to celebrate the language and culture of Cornwall, our new advert is the first ever to be spoken in Cornish (or, agan argemmyn nowydh yw an kynsa bythkweyth yn Kernewek heb ken!)
The government has recently cut funding for the Cornish language and last week, it looked as though the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were protesting the move outside the Houses of Parliament
Back in 2004, Cornish was spoken in Springfield, home of the famous yellow cartoon Simpson family, when Lisa took up the cause for Cornish independence!
Watch our new advert and learn how to request your favourite flavour from our brand new parlour-insipred range. Will it be indulgent Karamel Kylasennys Gelliges Choklet (Chocolate Brownie Salted Caramel), tangy Tart Kowles Lymmaval (Lemon Curd Tart), irresistable Karamel Pralin (praline caramel), fruity Kemmysk Eton Mor (Berry Eton Mess), delicious Krack Kriben Vel (Honeycomb Crunch), ever popular Karamel Sellys (Salted Caramel) or our classic Dehen Molys (Clotted Cream)?
