Thousands of you took to your gardens, local parks and the countryside to capture beautiful moments for Woodland Trust and Kelly’s of Cornwall’s Wild Summer photography competition.
Every image captured the essence of the UK’s glorious summer, whether it was a photograph of the typical British weather, a stunning landscape or a wild animal in its natural habitat.
After taking every entry into consideration, our panel of judges chose Joaquim Pinho stunning photograph of the coast, which embodies Kelly’s of Cornwall’s idea of a wild summer. It’s encouragement to get people outside, explore the local wildlife and make the most of the summer months showcases the great outdoors that the UK has to offer.
The judges also chose three runners up from the competition; Jack Merrett for his image of a harvest mouse, John Shahabeddin for an image of a cascading waterfall and Brian Robinson for his image of a harvest mouse sitting on some blackberries.
As well as the Cornish holiday, Joaquim has also won vouchers to spend on photography accessories, a Kelly’s of Cornwall ice cream hamper, Woodland Trust membership and a set of nature ID swatch books. The three runners up have also been awarded prizes of high street vouchers and a Kelly’s ice cream hamper.
